Our Requests of You
If this is your first time visiting this page, Welcome! Here is where we will illuminate our requests to you, delve into the processes we have, and link you into some of the external sites and programs with which we interact. The info will change from time to time, and more time sensitive discussions will be with emails or newsletters directed to you. If you have burning questions, please feel free to email us, or call directly.

Lets begin
We ask that you
  • are in real need for the foods that we provide
  • give away anything that is unused
  • if you can't give it away, we hope you will adopt some sort of composting or recycling measures. This stuff makes GREAT dirt. Really! We have a small compost bucket by our trash cans and the dirt that we get from that thing is rich, dark, packed full of nutrient, naturally aerated, pesticide free and revives everything that we pile it onto. We have a 4 year old tomato plant that has lived gloriously on this compost. Really - 4 years old!
  • If you have friends or neighbors that NEED help, have them connect with us.
  • If you have friends and neighbors that CAN help, please please connect them with us. We are an all-volunteer company and we can DO more WITH more.
  • If the weekly shares are too much, contact us and we will switch you to every other week and use that money/share to feed another family.
  • If you wish to stop, just tell us. There are families that are currently waiting in line.
  • We like Thank-You cards - we use them to help get philanthropists to see that we are making an impact and that y'all are genuine and thoughtful.  We are making a short video of the Thank You Notes - stay tuned, we will post it online. I've never met her, but my new best friend is Lydia, especially when she does the Happy Dance when her produce and fruits arrives :-)
Our Farm Affiliates
We source our produce from two local, family owned farms. We distribute the funds across these two farms based upon their delivery schedules and coverage areas. Each farm has a website on which you can find
  • The current week's selections
  • Recipes
  • Farm News and upcoming events
  • Beautiful pictures of their properties, animals, supporters

First up is Seabreeze (SOF) in Carmel Valley.
More than half of our food is purchased from and delivered by Seabreeze Organic Farm. Owned and operated by Stephenie Caughlin and Kendall Cook, SOF has been a part of our community for more than 30 years. Stephenie is a kindred spirit, a loving person and a dedicated botanist, educator, environmentalist and farmer. She started assisting military families dozens of years ago with her Hungry Heroes program. Hungry Heroes is the model that we adopted at Produce for Patriots. To view this week's selection from SeaBreeze, click here.

Next up is Eli's Farm in Fallbrook
